Eva Longoria Files for Divorce

After almost 4 years of marriage, Eva Longoria has filed for divorce from Tony Parker.  Longoria is most commonly known as Gabrielle from “Desperate Housewife” and Tony Parker is currently the starting point guard for the San Antonio Spurs.  While there is no definite reason for the divorce, Longoria stated that there are irreconcilable differences.  That hasn’t stopped the media from coming up with several theories.  There are rumors that Longoria is unhappy with Parker’s new extension with the Spurs.  His new contract will force him to stay in San Antonio for a few more years and Longoria is believed to want a bigger city such as New York.  Another rumor is that Parker has cheated on Longoria.  This isn’t a new rumor by any stretch.  Since 2008, countless websites and and articles have popped up saying that Parker has been cheating on Longoria.

Regardless of the real reason, both stars wrote “we love each other deeply and pray for each other’s happiness” on their Twitter accounts.  Honestly, I’m sad to see them split up.  They looked like they were really in love, and it was great seeing Longoria at each Spurs’ game.  Hopefully, the divorce will be quick and clean.
