Fashion Designer Galliano Regrets Anti-semitic Statements

British fashion designer John Galliano has apologized for the anti-Semitic remarks that cost him his job at Christian Dior.
In a statement, he stated that he verbally defended remarks about his appearance and violence against him, but that he regretted what he has said:
“Anti-Semitism and racism should have no place in our society. I offer my unqualified apologies for my behavior. I was subjected to verbal harassment and violence when someone tried to hit with a chair. The person took offense at my appearance and clothes. So I began to defend my record. ”
