Follow That Wave
Follow That Wave.
Here we are again with the never ending saga of Chuck Lewis. You remember Chuck Lewis, the one sold, and went through drama after drama on the seven seas. Well, he’s at it again, this time, it’s surfing. When will he ever learn? We are on the waters of Rhode Island across from Block Island. The sky is crystal clear, and it’s a day surfer’s dream, to ride the wave. There were surfer’s doing the hang 5 on the wave, and swipe out. Now before we head out to the water, make sure there is a lifeguard on duty, in case things get out of hand. Chuck Lewis has now attempted to go out into the ocean, and look, there’s a wave coming. Chuck, there is a wave coming, a wave, but you are going in the wrong direction, and the wave is going to SPLASH! Now let’s do that again, but this time with the wave and not against it.
Mr. Lewis attempts again, but this time with the adjoining wave, and he is riding and riding, but he is heading for, heading for that Bowie. This I like to call splash dance, all water and disappointment. You would think, you would call it quits, but not Chuck, he is determined to conquer the wave, but a passage from Patrick Henry, “Give me liberty or face the fate”. I can tell you, Mr. Lewis will get more than he bargained for. Let’s move too fast forward as we are back in the waters of Rhode Island with chuck putting Wide World of Sports motto, “The thrill of victory, and the agony of defeat” into motion. Let’s see who will win, human or water. The biggest wave of all waves is approaching, do you think Chuck can handle it? It’s the tense moments turning into hours. Well, chuck is riding the wave, and to my surprise, he is surfing like a pro, and has landed safely on shore on Block Island. How did that happen? You see, earlier, he had been coached by an professional surfer, and was passed on tips on the fundamentals of surfing. In this case, the thrill of victory after all.
Now that chuck has mastered the fountain of waves, but will be his next stunt. Now he wants to try his hand at fishing. He might wine up in Davey Jones Locker or become food for a shark. “It’s the rod of the line with what’s on the line, a catch for today”. What could Chuck possibly catch? Perhaps a cold! I will keep you posted on the next fishy tale on the one that got away. Until then, look out at the water, there is no telling where Chuck might be.
