How long has it been since Roman Polanski’s indiscretion maybe thirty years more or less. Why bother he’s settled out of court the victim is not interested in reliving her life in a court room, opening old wounds.  How many far worse crimes have been committed in the last thirty years where there was no sentencing not even weekends. This seems to be a media event and sensationalism, how often do you think sex crimes occur in Hollywood mansions or in the back streets of Oakland. The victim in this case should be grateful that there were no cameras or distribution rights involved or that she was turned on to drugs and sold on the streets. These crimes are so common place that it is unbelievable. I’m wondering if these charges were brought against Roman Polanski during or after the release of Chinatown, remember the movie it was written by Robert Towne and produced by Robert Evans, was there a deal between the Deputy District Attorney and the Judge. Wait a minute was that in the movie? I don’t know it was thirty years ago! Let’s take a look at the accomplishments of Mr.Polanski’s work arguably the best film maker of all time, first the man himself Roman Polanski was born Aug.18th 1933 escaping the ghetto as well as concentration camps unfortunately his mother wasn’t as fortunate, she died there. He was arrested in 1977 in Los Angeles then fled to France to avoid sentencing an international arrest warrant was issued in 2005 the Swiss police picked him up in Zurich when he arrived to accept the Golden Icon Award for life time achievement. Sharon Tate Roman Polanski’s wife and unborn child were murdered, she was eight and a half months pregnant and butchered. Now some of his work

In the time of free love and drugs how many people would be guilty of these crimes in the sixties in California more then a few I’m sure and none of them accomplished. It almost sounds like a witch hunt.

Is Roman Polanski guilty? Sure probably, maybe, but so are a lot of others. If Noah Cross had an alias would he like the movie Chinatown probably not, but you know the old saying politicians, ugly buildings and prostitutes all become respectable if they last long enough.
