France

Hope of France.

It is when the French are practicing law or even more their Christian Catholic Faith that we fully understand ourselves as Christians.  France is beautiful.  The French Language is equally as beautiful.

After World War II, France built the Eiffel Tower as a way of consecrating air travel.  If the lines are jammed, a pilot can always find their way home.

When France takes a position the world becomes aware of the problem at hand.  John Denver owned significant property on the French Riviera.  As more than a Poet Laureat he found inspiration there that the whole world is attune to.  France has more passion in love of the Lord than anyone else.  The French are as stubborn as they are inspired.

When the Treaty of Versailles was signed in Versailles we arrived at the critical point of world history without understanding that the home front was the point where the civilized world was under attack.  Countries that understand that women, children and families as a whole that are the first and last victims.  In our struggle to survive and win this War we travelled to France as a new homeland.  France did not comprehend the best of us.  They robbed and imprisoned us because they did not understand that their socialistic government was the chaff that Francois Mitterand had the perception to fight.  Francois Mitterand wrote The Wheat and The Chaff.  France is still catching up with him.

Great French writers like Sartre or Simone De Beauvoir write about communism but they miss a simple approach to recognizing and defeating the nihilism of a heroine commune.

France remains France though.  Its beautiful cathedrals situated in ideal places invites Christian worship in a Catholic way.  We must persist in our life as Catholics as a Christian Church that can welcome all to the extent each can allow God that time to go to church to worship him.

The French are very proud of the Douay Reims translation of scripture.  The French Language and history promise us the Prayer of Christians ,(the breviary of old), that will partake of the passion of the saints, the Liturgical Year, and the Devotion to the Blessed Mother that will reward those hearts and souls that still claim France as a touchstone for holiness.

My family is in part French, like Joe’s and Bob’s.  Like Scotland we all leave to find the land flowing with milk and honey, Israel.  The beautiful Angelina Jolie and her husband Brad Pitt, will never let us forget that the best of us, and those that have suffered the most because of France are French.  I will not claim to be Nostradamus, the mythic French Patriarch that finds the holy grail.  I helped find the grail, but only as myself, Mary.  I am  though, with an emphasis that is borrowed from the French Language, a contender for the role of Fatima in the Koran.  That is who I would be if I could.
