George Harrison; Not That Quiet a Beatle

A glance at the new documentary done by Martine Scorcese.

For some reason he was considered the ‘quiet’ Beatle.  But  George Harrison was far from that. In the new documentary by Martin Scorcese the world will get another view.

George was, to put it crudely, unable to keep his pants on. He had sex with a lot of women, including the wife of his co-Beatle, Ringo Star.

He was married to Pattie Boyd, who was the obsession of Eric Clapton, a guitarist whom George knew his superior. Yet this did not keep his pants on.   He had affairs in the very house he occupied with Boyd; and she admits, ringing up Ringo to tell him where his wife wa, with whom, and what was being done.

Ringo divorced Maureen, Pattie divorced George and married Eric Clapton.  Subsequently George married Olivia who was no one in her own right so put up with his unfaithfulness.

Scorcese has used rarely seen footage of Harrison before and after the Beatles broke up, following his life from teenage to his death from cancer in  2001.

The documentary wil be aired on the BBC..
