George Michael Goes to Jail

George Michael has been sentenced to jail for eight weeks. Earlier in the year he had crashed his car during which he had taken a large quantity of cannabis. The court also fined him £1250 and he has been banned from driving for five years.
He pleaded guilty to the charge when in court and will only have to serve the first four weeks in prison with the rest outside in the care of a probation officer.
This isn’t the first time that George has been caught using drugs while driving. He was also charged in 2007.
The Judge did concede that George had shown regret for what he had done but also noted that he hadn’t made enough effort to rid himself of the addiction.
