You know, like name association – when you are given a word, the first thing that pops into your mind? Well, it’s like that with Gloria Steinem. What I remember about her was that she was ahead of her time. Back in those days, women are less aggressive when it comes to speaking their minds. But Ms Steinem was certainly not one of them. She was orally forthright in her views and was well known for that.
You would associate the feminist movement with her. You would also think of her when you discuss women empowerment. Now, mind you, I’m neither for or against the movement, but I’ll bet she makes a whole lotta women proud of their gender. Reminds me of the lyrics “I am Woman, hear me roar” from the song “I Am Woman” by Helen Reddy.
