Gone Too Soon

I was deeply affected after hearing the news about the tragic accident that led to the sudden death of one of my crushes, AJ Perez last April 17, 2011. I wanted to cry that time but tears won’t fall. I don’t know what to say or do. I heard about it just after I attended the mass. I first saw him on his first acting role in About Your Love. That time, I didn’t know his real name so I just called him Josh because it was his name on the show. I was in high school then. I even bought the September 2008 issue of Candy Mag because it was him on the cover. I didn’t have the courage to write a blog about his death right after the accident so I decided to do so after his funeral. I feel like I was in great loss too. I know that AJ has still more to offer. He’s a good guy, a good friend, a good son, a good student and the last thing I know that he was a great boyfriend. Along with the pain I felt because of his loss was the pain when I heard about his girlfriend. I never knew that he had a girlfriend. I feel a pang of jealousy. Steph Ayson was a very lucky girl. AJ chose to love her. Just like me, Steph was a great fan too and would wake up every Saturday morning just to watch Abt Ur Luv and would buy Candy Mag because AJ was in the content or in the cover. AJ was laid to his final rest yesterday, April 26. Emotions were eminent. Today, I was reading articles about his final wake and the testimonies given by his loved ones on his funeral. Steph was very lucky, Steph meant the world for AJ. He truly loved her and was willing to give the world to him.

Here’s the eulogy of Steph on Aj’s final wake:

“ I want to be a teacher, a lawyer, and suddenly a doctor. I want to be able to write well, to sing well, and to dance well. All of those changed except one. I knew I want to marry a guy. And his name was AJ Perez. I was a silly girl, writing our names beside each other. I was scribbling hearts and playing Flames and I would wake up every Saturday just to watch “About Your Love. I would sit in front of the TV and watch ASAP. I was a fan and I would like to think I was the biggest fan he had.
