Know matter what Cam’ron says, there isn’t a stop snitching campaign in the Hip Hop community. I am so tired of the propaganda; this ranks up there with the commercials of drug peddlers hanging out at the local elementary schools, looking to corner the market and amass untold wealth by hooking 10yr old children on drugs. What market are they going after? The children’s milk money? It’s ridiculous, and flat out isn’t true. The truth is there isn’t any stop snitching campaign just because some people are making money off of some silly t-shirts, if these tee-shirts are working so well “why is rattin at an all time high?” (Jadakiss)

Then they take it a step further and get the least informed rapper in the world to get on national television and say “that he wouldn’t tell if there was a serial killer living in is building”. Wow! There is little wonder why the Police come into inner city neighborhoods with guns drawn, ready to shoot first and ask questions later. Of course some of the police are prejudiced by there own ignorance about the people they are paid to police. However prejudice means to prejudge, but when you get someone who is seemingly speaking for the values and ethics of inner city youths who is misrepresenting them, it is no longer an issue of prejudging, it seemingly becomes forewarning for the rest of the world.

Let me begin by saying that a serial killer isn’t even respectable amongst other criminals, neither are rapists, child molesters, and other sociopathic predators. So why would they be protected under a code of street ethics? It’s a serial killer, they pray on innocent unsuspecting random victims. Translation; a serial killer doesn’t have any ethics. Even Tony Montana said “no women no kids” and why would this rapper know this? And why is he even on television speaking about this in the first place? Ask him about ASCAP, Soundscan, and things like that, please relegate him and people like him to speaking about areas of their expertise. And I don’t blame him for not knowing about inner city street rules and regulations; I blame him for being used as a pawn, to make young black inner city youths look like irresponsible animals that harbor serial killers. Shame on you Cam’ron.

So for the record; stop snitching doesn’t apply to civilians, and never has. It applies to so-called gangsters that take a blood oath by participating in underworld activities, and when their number is called they are reluctant to pay the piper, and would rather play the role of a stool pigeon. For example, an elderly woman that calls the police because someone has snatched her pocketbook isn’t a snitch; she is a civilian doing her civic duty. On the other hand a person that shoots someone, and when they are shot in return they press charges, they’re a snitch.
