Hayden Panettiere My Hero

Hayden Panetierre played Claire Bennett in the comic book inspired award winning science fiction television series Heroes. It is not just my personal opinion that she is a superlative actress with amazing talent.  Hayden won the Saturn Best Actress in a Leading Role award for her outstanding contribution to the show.

As well as a leading roll in Heroes Hayden has been on our screens almost all her life to date. Hayden was just 11 months old when she first appeared on television. She starred in a television advert for Playskool. When she was 5 she landed the role of Sarah Roberts in One Life to Live a US soap opera. This she played for 3 years. Next she starred in another soap opera for another 3 years. In Guiding Light, Hayden played a leukemia victim. She won a recognition award for bringing the disease to the attention of the American public.

By the age of 11 when her soap opera stint was over Hayden was a seasoned actress. Large and small screen roles started to come thick and fast. Starting off with bit parts the roles became bigger and more prestigious until arguably her greatest portrayal, that of Claire Bennett in Heroes.

Hayden drew a sketch of the character she played in Heroes. At a charity Heroes Auction it sold for $915 which was presented to the Pediatric Epilepsy Project.

Following her latest role Hayden has signed a modeling deal with the fashion house Candie’s. Hayden is not only a versatile and dedicated actress and model she has a fine singing voice too. Hayden wishes to now concentrate on her singing career. Her next single is called Wake Up Call with an album to follow next year. (Check out the above video of Wake Up Call)

May 2010 was perhaps the saddest moment of my life when I heard the announcement of NBC’s decision to cancel Heroes.
