How and Why is Lady Gaga Famous? The Flaws of Fame in America

Anyone willing to be a attention seeker can be famous nowadays. In America you don’t have to be talented to be famous. The desire to be famous at any cost drives most Americans to pursue unrealistic dreams. The flaw of Reality TV makes all sorts of unknowns suddenly house hold  names. Why do Americans want to make some average joe they see on TV into somebody special ? The people you the viewer watches on your favorite show are no more special than you are. The public buys into this because the media makes you feel like it so. The truth is that anyone who is famous would be nothing without public support, so stop feeling like they are better some how. I could make a really long list of celebs who to me are famous for no reason. I will give a few examples and let you the reader decide. Individuals like Paris Hilton, Perez Hilton, Justin Bieber, anyone on American Idol, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian to name a few. The point I’m trying to make is that some of the people I just mentioned practice a little thing called shock value. I believe they are not more talented than anyone else in their fields, but they will do anything to get attention. Kim Kardashian is also famous for her ample backside, which to me is just stupid. I see women everyday who have great butts and they are not on TV because of it.

I don’t know about you but I’m tired of hearing one persons name and that’s Lady Gaga. I know I’m not the only person who feels this way. If you don’t believe just ask her label mate at Interscope Records Sabrina.

Why does it feel like every form of media known to man is going out of it’s way to cram Lady Gaga down our throats ? I can’t do anything without hearing something about her, and I really couldn’t care. I can’t even watch Korean television without seeing their celebrities trying to be like her.

 Does anyone even know how she suddenly became famous ? What is she famous for, seems to me plenty of people just like jumping on the bandwagon of whatever their told is in at the moment. I am supposed to view Lady Gaga as the new Madonna or something ? People are entitled to their own opinions about her but I won’t like her simply because supporting her is in. I ask if you are a fan, what is it you are supporting ? Lady Gaga appears to me to try and be as mysterious and controversial as humanly possible. Why is shock value in music considered art ? Lady Gaga was born Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, a woman.
