“Jackass” Star Dead

Ryan Dunn, a member of the show ‘Jackass" has died.

Anyone who has ever been a fan of Johnny Knoxville and his friends of the hit MTV show, “Jackass”, knows that the stunts and pranks that they portray on the show are dangerous and could cause the stars serious injuries or death if they were not very cautious. These young men have performed many dangerous feats while doing the show, so who would think that a car crash would kill one of them?

Ryan Dunn, age 34, was killed early Monday morning along with a passenger in his car when he lost control and the car hit a guardrail and burst into flames. Driving a Porsche along a road in a Philadelphia suburb near West Chester, Ryan was estimated to be traveling at speeds of over 100 mph before losing control of the car. He had been at a bar earlier in the evening, but reports are that he was a very responsible driver and not much of a drinker, so alcohol has not been determined to be a factor in the wreck.

Dunn was identified by his tattos and a friend that was a passenger in the car has died also. Zachary Hartwell, 30, was with Dunn in the car. Both of these young men were from the local area and their loss will be felt by fans, friends, and family.  Johnny Knoxville and friends have tweeted about the loss that they have suffered. This will be a loss of a good friend for most of the guys from the show.

Recently, Dunn had appeared on “Minute to Win It” with co-star Steve-O to win money for a children’s charity. He had also hosted the show “Proving Ground”, which premiered just six days before the death of Dunn. He had starred on “Jackass” from 2000-2002. He had also been on many shows with Bam Margera including “Viva La Bam”. He had starred in 15 films in his short career.
