Khloe Kardashian and Family: Enough Already
The Kardashian family is overexposed and with recent wedding of Khloe, over the top!

Ok, I will admit it. When I heard the latest headlines on Entertainment Tonight “Khloe Kardashian weds Lamar Odom” over the weekend, I bit. Just like millions of other viewers, I could not wait to hear the details of the latest media hungry stunt by the youngest Kardashian darling. While listening to the details of their lavish, celebrity encrusted “dream wedding”, I was neither impressed nor surprised. After all, millions of couples around the world get married every day after knowing each other for just four long weeks! They also manage to plan elaborate, expensive weddings during that same time period, all while they are getting to know each other. Although, I am skeptical as to the longevity of this particular union, I do wish them well.
However, after catching a few episodes of “Keeping up with the Kardashians”, one episode of “Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami”, and hearing about them on every news and entertainment show imaginable, I really wish they would just go away. I have had enough of ANYTHING Kardashian. After catching a few episodes of the “Keeping Up With” I am still wondering what it is exactly that these girls are talented at. Are they pretty? Yes, very. All three of them. However, is that a talent or a gift, or a contribution to the entertainment world?
As far as I can see, their real talents lay in self-promotion, self-absorption and well, just plain “self”. Moreover, let us not forget “Mama Kardashian-Jenner”, who seems willing to expose her three precious angels to pretty much anything as long as it lines her satin pockets with her stipulated 10% management fee. The first episode I watched was about mama and the girls getting a homeless man off the streets. Not televisions at its worst, but certainly nowhere near its finest hour either. They did put him up at a motel where he could shower and shave. They made sure he had something to eat. They even took him to a shelter. Normally, I would applaud such a caring, humanitarian gesture. However, in this case I felt embarrassed and ashamed. Not for the homeless man, but for the Kardashians. Under the guise of helping this poor man, they actually seemed to be mocking him, with sly looks and slightly sarcastic and completely un-funny comments to him and each other. They exploited him. True charity and selfless acts are not broadcast on a television show for the sole purpose of expanding your viewing audience.

I personally liked it a lot better when all we had of celebrities was their characters and largely fake image of red carpets and champagne. Reality TV and celebrity obsessed society has let us in on way more than I ever wanted to see. The Britney Train wreck has been almost more than I can bare. And as for Paris I wish she was just playing tennis at a country club somewhere. I thought that the Death of Anna Nicoles son and then herself after watching her deteriorate on E for a few years would have us step back a bit but instead it seems to have just stoked the fire.
Oh well I guess we can just flip it off and go on with our lives. Or maybe just check in periodically to see if Joaquin Phoenix has joined his brother yet.

Sorry don’t even know so called English celebrities? Do not wish too either, but I’m sure the masses need to be informed of all movement.
