Although Lindsay Lohan maintains her innocence in the against charges she stolen and $2,500 necklace, and her attorney Shawn Chapman Holley insisted that the charges leveled against he client are entirely defensible, reports have surfaced that Lindsay Lohan would consider a plea deal if she could avoid going to jail.
After Lohan pleaded not guilty Wednesday in Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Keith Schwartz immediately revoked her probation. Lohan had been arrested and convicted of drunk driving and given probation in 2007.
Lohan was allowed to post $40,000 bond on the theft charge and probation revocation. A February 23 hearing will be held to decide if the theft charge warrants sending the troubled actress back to jail immediately.
Judge Schwartz warned Lohan that if she pushed her luck and continued to get into trouble that “things will be different”
Still Lohan’s attorney Shawn Holly insists that, “Ms. Lohan maintains her innocence, and now that I’ve seen the police reports, I believe the case is entirely defensible, having said that, we will entertain a discussion concerning a plea if it means no jail so that she can move forward with her recovery and her career.”
