Little Robin Hood – Archery World Record
See how a 14 year old boy breaks a world record…
A boy aged 14, whose favorite hero is Robin Hood, set a new world record after he shot the arrow to a distance as five football fields.
Zak Crawford arrow flew incredible distance of 500 meters, 150 meters longer than the previous world record. Most took place during the archery competition Flight Northern Counties Championships, where the teenager is already a veteran archer.
Zak started shooting archery at the age of six years, after seeing a movie with Robin Hood and became the youngest member of the East Midlands club archers, one of the 10 regions of England. Initially, Zak has excelled in shooting, but then was drawn to archery as long-distance.
To beat the world record, the little archer trained hard, Monday to Friday, 3 hours per day, about 1,000 firing arrows at each workout. Should note that the teenager has broken the world record is recovering from an accident – just two weeks before the championship fell on the stairs and breaking several ribs. Although it is not pulled away from Olympic discipline, Zak dreams to participate in Olympics in Rio de Janeiro in 2016 to shooting.
