Lynn Redgrave, what happened?

Lynn Redgrave is mourned and missed on Broadway and in the hearts of her many fans. Yesterday, May 2, 2010, Lynn died of Breast Cancer at age sixty-seven. The marquees of Broadway Theatres in New York will be dimmed as a memorial tomorrow, Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at 7:00 PM for exactly one minute.

Redgrave was a 2006 Tony award nominee for ‘Best Actress in Play’. The nominated play was called, ‘The Constant Wife’, where Lynn joins Kate Burton in the cast of the Roundabout Theater Company. In addition to the 2006 Tony award, Lynn was nominated for a 1993 Tony Award also for ‘Best Actress in Play’, but with the play, ‘Shakespeare for my Father’. Once more, she was nominated ‘Best Actress in Play’ in the 1976 Tony Award nomination, ‘Mrs. Warren’s Profession’.

Other plays she was credited for were: ‘Black Comedy’, also known as ‘White Lies’, ‘My Fat Friend’, ‘Knock Knock’, ‘Saint Joan’, ‘Aren’t We All?’, ‘Sweet Sue’, ‘Love Letters’, ‘A Little Hotel on the Side’, ‘The Master Builder’, and ‘Moon over Buffalo’.

Lynn Redgrave was born March 8, 1943 in London, England, UK, and died May 2, 2010 in Manhattan, New York, USA. She was married to John Clark from April 2, 1967 up until December 22, 2000 when they divorced with three children.
