Michael Jackson
Millions gather for Miichael Jackson’s funeral none gathered in support for his 2005 child sexual abuse case in which Jackson was acquitted.Did we let the King of Pop down while he was alive? Would he accept our applause love and suport after years of silence from fans and supporters. Even after death rumors emerge when will Michael rest?

Michael Joseph Jackson born August 29, 1958 died June 25, 2009.
Jackson made his debut as a member of Jackson 5 in 1964 going solo in 1971.
Jackson released “ Thriller “ the best selling record of all time in 1982 and released 4 other records that are among the best selling records in the world.
Jackson was inducted into the Hall of Fame twice, received 13 Grammy awards, released 17 number one singles, and sold over 750 million records.
With all these accomplishments Jackson will never receive the respect or credit one deserves after accomplishing these things. There was a movie made on the childhood lives of the Jackson 5 this movie exposed the lives of the Jackson’s in ways nobody imagined. This was only the start to Jackson’s public humiliation
Jackson’s appearance began to change in the early 80’s Jackson had work done to his nose as well as his skin color. This started rumors amongst his fans and followers world wide. For years comics used Jackson as the butt of their jokes, this only got worse after Jackson was accused of sexually abusing a child.
Many of Michael’s fans were in disbelief but many would turn on Michael and join in on the laughter at Michael’s expense. Later on photos would appear on newspapers and in articles everywhere of Jackson dangling out of a third floor window. Jackson when on to say it was “ the baby stunt was a mistake “ mistake or no mistake he was humiliated by many comedians nationally. In 2005 was tried and acquitted for child molestation still not ending Jackson’s humiliation
After the death of Jackson many of his early followers surfaced claiming to have always loved and supported Jackson. Where were his followers when he was bashed in the news. How many people exited night clubs and comedy shows after hearing the continuous jokes about Michael. The radios played his hits non stop many people requesting their so called favorite songs. Where were the disc jockeys support when Michael had been troubled with the courts. I don’t think Michael would appreciate everyone coming out of the wood works supporting his death and not his triumph over the courts in 2005. The people that wanted to attend his funeral numbered in the millions. Not even hundreds stood outside the court house in 2005 awaiting the King’s verdict. We cheated Michael out of his recognition and contribution to the music world. We have failed the king of pop.

Well..here is one writer that is not a die hard Micheal fan.I haven’t been since the late 80s when family took priority and music took a back seat.I was sad to hear he passed but my world doesn’t stop because he isn’t here among the living now.And Micheal was not the only famous person that was picked on by numerous comics…not that I went to a nightclub or listened to a comic..Anyone that was famous was picked on in one way or another. Its just everything going on around Micheal just made him a bigger target is all.But I do believe that Micheal is recognized for the talented performer he was and the
contributions he made in the music industry, but he doesn’t need to be put on a pedestal…he still was human who made mistakes like everyone else.I’m sure that God treated him like anyone else when he had to stand in front of God and account for his life. But not all will agree with my view and that is ok…
