Michael Jackson Trivia 2
There are many things that we may not have known about Michael Jackson. Come find out more trivia about Michael Jackson.
In my other article “Michael Jackson Trivia”, I told you some trivia about Michael Jackson. I have some more trivia about the late great Michael Jackson.
Michael Jackson’s unreleased song “This Is It” was supposed to be on the “Dangerous” cd. It ended up not making the cut. Michael Jackson was a perfectionist so he may not have liked the song at first.
When Michael Jackson originally recorded “This Is It”, it was just Michael Jackson and a piano in the song. His brothers as well as more instruments were added after Michael Jackson’s untimely death.
“Dangerous” was supposed to be a greatest hits cd instead of a cd with original songs. Michael Jackson wanted the cd to have new material on it.
Motown founder Berry Gordy wanted Michael Jackson to be a solo artist when he was a part of the Jackson 5. Berry Gordy wanted Michael Jackson to be a solo star like Diana Ross and Lionel Richie years later, but Michael Jackson’s father Joe Jackson was against the idea. Berry Gordy had to compromise by having Michael Jackson record solo projects, but remain with the Jackson 5.
The people at Epic Records didn’t want Quincy Jones to work with Michael Jackson on his “Off The Wall” cd at first. Michael Jackson had to fight with the record company in order to get Quincy Jones to work on the cd. Luckily the record company caved since “Off The Wall” ended up being a success.
Michael Jackson was an artist. He drew the artwork on his “HIStory Past, Present, and Future Book I” cd.
Originally “Thriller” was called “Starlight”. Quincy Jones didn’t like the name so it was changed to “Thriller”. I wonder if the song would have had the same affect if it remained “Starlight”.
Michael Jackson usually had recorded his songs in one take. He thought it would sound more authentic.
“Liberian Girl” was said to be dedicated to Michael Jackson’s dear friend Elizabeth Taylor.
Michael Jackson has a patent on his signature lean shown in the video for “Smooth Criminal”. It always amazed me how he was able to do the move without falling.
Michael Jackson wore his pants high watered pants so people could focus on his feet. He wanted people to notice his dance moves. It worked because he always wore bright white socks so you had to notice his feet.
Michael Jackson wouldn’t wear leather off video sets because he was opposed to killing animals. This does not surprise me because I remember how much he loved animals.
When Michael Jackson was a teen he idolized Stevie Wonder.
This is all the trivia I have for now. I hope you enjoy these as much as I enjoyed sharing this Michael Jackson trivia with you.

Michael was such a talented young man. I hated to see the way he messed himself up. I think he wasn’t mentally strong enought to handle all that life threw at him.He was the most talented of them all.
