Model Profile: Daisy Lowe
Fashion Journalist Lauren Zahra profiles upcoming model Daisy Lowe, outlining her latest pursuits in fashion, music and television.

“I’m spiritual and up for saving the world.” That’s what exquisite London beauty Daisy Lowe told The Daily Mail back in April, and I have to say, she’s set herself quite the challenge with that one, but given her ridiculous success, it might just be possible…
Daisy Lowe began her career at the tender of age of 16, modelling for sexy lingerie company Agent Provocateur, but being replaced by Kate Moss a year later (as replacements go, I’m not sure I’d complain too much?). From here, she modelled for British, Italian and American Vogue, appeared on the cover of countless fashion publications all over the world, and became the face of French Connection and Urban Outfitters for their campaigns of 2006.
By the beginning of 2008, she was dating legendary music producer Mark Ronson and had begun catwalk modelling for the likes of Vivienne Westwood and Marc Jacobs. The twenty-year-old socialite has since appeared in music videos, worked as a DJ, written for Elle and landed a documentary TV series with MTV – all alongside her still fruitful career in the fashion world.
After meeting Noah And The Whale frontman Charlie Fink in New York this year, Daisy agreed to star in a feature-length film that would accompany the London band’s second album, ‘The First Days Of Spring’. This is so far her latest project. The film premiered in the Film & Music Tent at Latitude Festival this summer and is enjoying a brief theatre run before going to DVD alongside the album on August 31st.
It’s been reported more recently that Daisy will be modelling for everyone from Anna Sui to Mango in the autumn/ winter 2009 catwalk shows. Any fashion fan ought to be very much looking forward to seeing what Ms. Lowe gets up to next – I’m sure the press will be keeping us all up to date!
