After hearing about this individual in a Judd Nelson movie. I begin to research this gentleman history. It seem like the record business then as now have always had a under handed person. Berry Gordy, constantly is criticize for his business ways.
But next to Mr. Morris Levy, he look like a saint. And all artist who ever done business dealings needs to challenge all contracts and royalties problem since he was a notoriousrecord executive. And why the federal government who was investigating him during the fifties and sixties couldn’t reel him in then is amazing.
He particularly got rich off adding his name to writers song. When in realities he didn’t write a thing. And it strange when people got mob connections. They can never catch them until they are in their sixties. And in the later years of his life. His mobster connection finally caught up with him.
