Mourning for Patrick Swayze

One of the best known Hollywood actors Patrick Swayze, who won the hearts of Indians by his role in the movie “City of Joy”, died on September 15, 2009 at his age of 57. He was battling with pancreatic cancer for the past two years. I turned into his favorite after watching his movie “Ghost”, with Demi Moore. The love of a husband, expressed very well in that movie.

I got impressed by the story where the husband tried to protect his wife, even after his death. The role he played as “Sam Wheat” found millions of fans for him. A cultural movie, I watched.

The dancer turn actor won millions of hearts by his romantic role in “Dirty Dancing”. But his heart was stolen by Lisa Niemi, who joined as a dance student of his mother. When they met first, Swayze was 18 years old and Lisa was 14years old. Swayze and Lisa got married on June 12, 1975 and remained as a role model couple, until his death. Swayze and Niemi had no children.
He was a licensed pilot, who hit the news in June 2000, for making an accident with his flight, which he travelled with his dogs. He was nominated three times for Golden Globe Award. This all time star died on Monday in a Los Angeles hospital, with his wife Lisa Niemi and family at his side. He passed away peacefully leaving his millions of admirers to mourn for him.

Patrick was one of my favorites actors. I don’t know if I liked “dirty Dancing” or “Ghost” best.
