Nina R. Totenberg of NPR Apologizes for Saying Christmas on The Air

Now this is about as ridiculous as it gets when radio hosts censor themselves for mentioning our great religious holiday, Christmas.

Nina Totenberg Of NPR Apologizes For Mentioning Christmas On Radio

As a rather revealing exhibition of leftist controlled media irreverence, Nina Totenberg actually apologized for mentioning a Christmas party at the Justice Department in the course of a conversation. It seems a simple matter of taking something she said out of context in reviewing her statement, but it really isn’t and I quote, “ …while I was at, you should forgive me for this expression, a Christmas Party at the Department of Justice…” This she mentioned during a comment about law enforcement people finding it difficult to know what their budgets are going to be in Washington DC since Harry Reid’s Omnibus Spending Bill was defeated.

Totenberg, who has made other cruel and typical leftist attacks at the expense and suffering of others has somehow evaded the chopping block even though Juan Williams was canned due to admitting that after 9-11 he was suspicious of anyone who appeared to be of typical Muslim in appearance, and who wasn’t?  Yet, Totenberg has been allowed to make such caustic statements as saying that if there were retributive justice that either Jesse Helms or his grand children would get AIDS.

Nina Totenberg is just part of the problem in NPR as anti American sentiment is widely distributed through out many topics and programs.

A few days ago I had been tuned in to NPR radio just trying to see if I could pick up a clear station while driving and maybe get an objective rundown on the day’s events. What did I hear?

A special report about Vladimir Putin of Russia was being aired and they were talking about the incredibly dynamic, testosterone driven statesman, who flies jet fighter aircraft, is an accomplished martial arts master, and even fancies himself to be a musical connoisseur. The show host talked about how the Russian President liked Fats Domino’s classic hit “ Blueberry Hill” and promptly played a live recording of Putin and a hand picked band of his friends playing a stiff and uninspiring version of that great American classic tune.

Vladimir Putin, who is trusted little by his own people was mocked on the radio program as comments made by anonymous Russians were quoted and given little credence by the citizens under his rule. There was not one countrymen quoted who did not express sarcasm and grave doubt about Putin and his psychotic attitude toward his opponents. We must also consider how Putin master minded the inhuman radioactive poisoning of two former Russian intelligence agents who had defected, his iron fisted assault on Chechnya and Georgia which cost many lives, and the rather odd display he gave in public of grabbing a toddler in a crowd, picking the boy up, lifting his shirt, and kissing his stomach. I don’t know about you, but I found it a bit odd and awkward. The only person I think that would not have been disturbed by that strange exhibit of public affection would have been a pedophile. Yet, here is NPR typically in support of an or in admiration of the left and our political enemies when it comes to special international reports or pieces on personalities behind the news.

Another disturbing example of that agenda that I listened to while driving was hearing the Wikileaks definition of the United States as being the eminent world empire of the twentieth century marked by corporate and political corruption. This the correspondent added was a world view expressed by Wiki-Leaks. This expose’ of world opinion frequently expressed on NPR takes very little into account of objective history just as national public education does in our schools as they de-emphasize the importance of the past.

Wiki-Leaks conveniently overlooks the role of the United States in liberating the world from fascism twice in the twentieth century on a global scale as well as the aid our country rendered to Europe and Asia to recover from war to the tune of billions in unrepaid debts that were forgiven. Not to mention the many innovative inventions that our open society has shared with the world to improve the quality of life for millions of people the world over, which NPR and Wikileaks disregard when evaluating the world view of the US. However, this is what Americans are paying for as US taxpayers, whether they like it or not, are funding a leftist and indifferent broadcast network that is opposed to American values and its heritage of free market and Constitutional law. Wikileaks creator, Julian Assange has arrogantly classified America as an imperialistic power that victimizes the world for corporate gain, and that’s just fine with NPR.

Why is National Public Radio and PBS being funded by the federal government? This public educational network that demonizes the very country that it can thank for its existence, received millions while constantly campaigning for viewers and listeners donations periodically while on the air. So, we should pay taxes to support and give directly to a news organization that assaults our dearest held traditions, our holidays, and even our leading Christian faith as they represent the views of a minority of radicals.

Time and again we must come to the same dogged conclusion when asking ourselves why does our very own government fund, support, and legislate in favor of the left nowadays. And the answer leads us to the same conclusion, the Obama administration’s agenda, the Obama administration’s agenda, and if you have any doubts please refer to the first conclusion again, the Obama administration’s agenda. And I ask you, fellow Americans, what are you going to do about it?

Oh, and Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!
