Old Love Spells Discovered

The box in the attic at the top of the grand Victorian house had remained undisturbed for generations. She opened the old box, its faded leather cover now withered to reveal the solid oak of its sturdy construction, for the first time since 1882. Inside was a hand written book containing love spells and ample proof that they had worked in the past. Would they still work? Would she be married to George Clooney by the end of 2014?

It is only 2010 so how the heck can I answer that question? Let me tell you something about her (the woman who opened the box, found the spells and cast a few to capture and marry George Clooney) before you lose all interest in this record of events. After all, you must admit it is worth checking out, I mean, what if she succeeds? What if she becomes Mrs George Clooney before the beginning of 2015 and you missed the chance to be part of the magic? She has promised, by the way, that if she does get to marry George, that she’ll invite five lucky readers to the wedding and, she might want some more bridesmaids. Do you really want to miss out on that?

The Woman Who Opened the Box

She didn’t have much to say to men but that wasn’t a problem because they all totally ignored her. Her lazy eye would lower to give an unintended impression of shyness and, after the drool had dripped from her always ajar rasping mouth and she had wiped it with the always moist hankie of the day, the man she had tried to talk to would have used the diversion to escape. Still, she could still dream and, when she had quiet time, when her burps and general windiness relented, she could take out the picture of George Clooney and cherish it in the way the witch had taught her.

Cherishing George

She enjoyed cherishing but had learnt how to limit the number of cherishes she had in a single day. I found her repulsive at the best of times but the sight of her “cherishing George” was totally repugnant. The sounds she made during the process were quite disturbing too but it was the aftermath and the lingering fishy smell that turned my stomach. One day, I’d escape.

About Me

I’m not too sure who I am or why I’m here and tasked with recording the episodes in her life since she found that box. I remember being asleep in the attic, warm and as comfortable as toast, drifting in and out of dreams and then this. Give me time and I’ll get to the bottom of this, record up and coming events and tell you more about her. Of course, that’s if I don’t escape first.
