These days a person can be famous for being famous.  One can ask what  Reality TV show star that should give them notoriety and nothing immediately comes to mind.

It can be argued that Pamela Sue Anderson was at least a star on a “legitimate” TV show.  She was a statuesque Baywatch babe.  But in reality, Pamela Anderson gained more fame from the release of a video tape of her exploits.  She gained additional notoriety from have large breast implant put in.  Then having them removed and then having them taken out again. 

Lately the news has come that Pamela Anderson may be a million dollars or so in debt.  Simultaneous to that news comes the revelation that many wealthy stars are having to reduce the prices for which they will sell their multi-million dollars homes by 50%.   Moreover, even Ed McMahon, Johnny Carson old side kick was experiencing financial difficulties before he passed.  Michael Jackson was said to be $500 million in debt.

So it is a bit disingenious of some to say that Ms Anderson’s present difficulties are the result of the last act of a morality play.  Time are tough all over.  

Rather I would say when you look at the what some of the rich and famous have done with their lives, Anna Nicole and  Lindsay Lohan, it seems that Pam Anderson while not always graceful at the aging process is still managing find work and attract an audience.   When things really get bad with a star, no one wants them around.

The once and maybe future Baywatch babe has had some malfunctions on the runway but as long as people want to look at what pops out and not away, she is still sexy after all these years.
