‘The Last Hardrock’ is an insightful chronicle of one man’s journey from the streets of East New York Brooklyn to behind the walls of NYS Correctional facilities with a candid and compelling look at prison life, politics, love and war in the form of letters from one convict to another. It takes the reader on a trip into the psyche of street warriors while simplifying the brutal truths about jail-life with stories filled with personal struggles, gossip, love and anger. The story explores the strong relationship between hip-hop and the prison system and the youth of now, and stresses the impact both cultures have upon each other. This work for young readers is a timeless educational tool and poetic treasure.

‘The All-American Justice System Handbook’ is an empowering educational reference on the penal system for re-entry organizations, schools, ministries, social service networks and the average individual; written in language that is simple, basic, clear and inclusive the guide provides answers for all when dealing with the hazards, confusion, authority and lifestyle of the system. The coaching supports and fosters critical reasoning for strategic planning in order to safely navigate the situation. From arrest to county jail through the judiciary process and eventually onto prison and release, the text serves as an excellent as well as informative tool.

Raised in the infamous East New York section of Brooklyn, New York, my experiences give substance and truth to my writing. My pride and self awareness allowed me to turn my challenges as a young streetwise youth into a road of triumph for a growing man. My credentials include an 18 month tour in Germany with the US Army where I served as a medic and a member of the US Army Boxing Team, New York City Golden Gloves Boxer and student of life and its struggles. I am also one of the most recognized figures in the NYS Correctional system for political activities. Holding a vast knowledge of hip-hop I held positions on both sides of the spectrum, acting as security and consultant to some of the most successful acts (Wu-Tang Clan, Rapper AZ, and Phat Gary etc.) in the genre. The views are challenging and innovative and give readers an opportunity to question their place in society.

As a first time author, the most important thing about the titles is the message that is being prescribed. It is essential that the readers know that we are responsible to and for each other. As the new voice of generation Hip-Hop, the writings give the reader a peek inside of life at its most painful points and how to overcome the gravest adversities through sufferance and understanding. With a balance that consists of all things political, spiritual, criminal, and of deep emotion, the read is one that allows all to dance to the rhythm of an enlightened drum.
