Randall Cunningham’s son drowns in hot tub accident.
The family of former NFL quarterback, Randall Cunningham, mourn the loss of his two year old son today.
Two year-old Christian Cunningham was found in the hot tub, late Tuesday afternoon by another adult at the house. The adult tried to resuscitate the boy and called police. Christian was declared dead less than an hour later in St. Rose Dominican Hospital Siena campus in nearby Henderson, Nev.
The Las Vegas police believe that this was merely an accidental drowning, but investigation is still underway. As of right now there are no plans for immediate burial of the child.
Randal is a pastor and minister of a church, six blocks off Las Vegas Boulevard that he runs with his wife, Felicity. Christian was the youngest of their four children. Cunningham played in the NFL for sixteen years, mostly as a quarterback. He played for the Philadelphia Eagles, Minnesota Vikings, Dallas Cowboys and Baltimore Ravens. He was a Pro Bowl pick four times. He also starred at UNLV
Retiring in 2002, he went back to UNLV and earned his Bachelors degree.
