The date is August 08 2009, and I just got finished watching a re-run episode of Saturday Night Live.I’ve been watching the show for a number of years,laughed my ass off at the skits,and enjoyed the company of the special guest appearances by random stars. Only a few have struck a number in my head,mostly females, and one male (I think it was President Barack Obama,early election days).But tonight’s guest host was Rosario Dawson, an actress who I remember from the musical Rent and of course the bride of Colin Farrel in Alexander (who doesn’t remember that.she was naked ) Well being the guy that I am, I decided to Google her, just as you’re going to do after this article.Here are my findings.

Rosario Dawson is Puerto Rican/Afro Cuban from her mother’s side, and Native American and Irish from her father’s. She was first discovered by two Photographers while she was on her front porch in New York City. I’m not sure why I forgot to mention she was starring in “Clerks II” , which was a favorite movie of mine,the movie i’ve seen more than twice  “Sin City” and “Death Proof”.

She’s also been in a number of music videos.She was in the Prince video “1999″ in the 80’s. She also appeared in the Outkast video “She lives in my lap” and “Out of Control” by The Chemical Brothers.

She is also involved with a number of charitable organizations. The Lower East Side Girls Club, the ONE Campaign, Oxfam, Amnesty International, Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays,just to name a few. Here are some pictures for your enjoyment.
