Saving Face
Some people will lie, cheat, steal, cry, and abandon others or make them look bad or ask them to do other things just so they don’t look bad.
I have known several people, including myself who have been sacrificed; all for the sake of what I call saving face. I have never and probably will never understand people who will either let their circle of friends as well as outsiders think or talk badly about friends and family just so they won’t have people thinking or talking badly of them.
As you can imagine as long as I am writing mushy poetry and love letters my writings are well accepted. HOWEVER let me tell the truth, speak from the heart and some times and angry head, and poof SATAN BEGONE they think I am rude, hateful, hurtfull, and many other words that are not suitable for public viewing.
This is my outlet, and that old saying “truth hurts” well guess what; it does. It hurts me too and many of my friends. What hurts worse is the lies told by our friends and families that cover up the truth so that they look better.
If you don’t want to look bad to others, don’t act that way. Don’t stop to help the little old lady across the street just because you see someone looking, help her because she needs help.
Don’t give your tithes at church because the person on the pew next to you did, do it because it’s what the Lord our God ask of you.
Don’t hurt one to spare another. If something happens to someone don’t cover it up or ask them to lie about it because OMG what will the world think of you.
If you don’t want negative, don’t be negative, if you don’t want hateful don’t be hateful, if you don’t want to be lied to stop lying and so on.
Stop and think about the hearts your breaking because you don’t want to feel pain.
Another one of my favorite saying is “you can’t hear me talking when your mouth is moving” My revision of that is, Don’t tell me it hurts, when you don’t know how I feel.

It is sad that this is so true. Glad to hear someone else is observing this same sort of thing and sees it as problematic instead a way to join in to become accepted by society.
