Should Vanessa Hudgens Go Nude?

Its been in the news for a while now, on whether 20 year old, actress/singer Vanessa Hudgens should go nude in her future projects, or not. This has come out when, Vanessa said in an interview that, she would’nt mind considering (stripping) for the camera if she found the role interesting and worthy of it. Her boyfriend, Zac Efron also feels that she should attempt such a step, to get over her “goddy-goddy” image. Though, this debate seems futile due to the fact that about a year ago the internet was filled with ‘leaked’ nude pictures of Vanessa Hudgens, but i feel differently. That’s because Vanessa’s claim to fame was with Disney’s High School Musical, and as a result a large portion of her fan base consists of kids including teens, and if she attempts to turn a ‘new leaf’ with her new hottie image, this will nevertheless increase her price in the industry but will also make her loose a major portion of her fans, as parents would’nt want their children following in the footsteps of such a star, or idolising someone like her.  Though, this will not matter much to Disney, as they have finished with Vanessa’s character ” Gabriella Montez” in the High School Musical series (1,2,3), but her new image might affect future projects, of either shows or films with Disney Entertainment.

Ever since Vanessa has entered the entertainment industry; be it print, television or the big screen; she has always portrayed herself as someone who is soft, subtle and innocent, with her signature million dollar smile that melts a million hearts! Be it “Corrie” in The Suite Life of Zack & Cody or “Becca” in Drake & Josh, Vanessa has always kept it simple, whenever she has made appearances on various television shows. Even during interviews, she is never a loud-mouth or someone who is too hyper or too active in responding to media queries. Also, if attention is paid on her dressing sense, she has never dressed vulgarly or obscenely at any public event. Then, from where has this new “Nude acting-fever” suddenly risen?

If I maybe asked, I personally feel Vanessa Hudgens should not go nude at this age, no matter how challenging or attractive the role may appear, maybe twenty years from now, she can think of doing something in this theme, but at the moment she should concentrate on her music, print ads and the comedy/drama roles to which she does/has been doing great justice to.

Though, there can be an exception for her going nude, if it is for a social cause. For instace, if she’s posing naked for one of PETA’s causes; like anti-fur etc. then that is completely justified in the public eye. And maybe, she might even consider doing this, after all we’v seen her love for animals!!

But, who can say what, she herself is her best judge !! Considering, that she has a younger sister (Stella) who follows her every footstep, is this what she plans to teach her?
