Fifty year old Simon Cowell and recently separated Cheryl Cole have been in discussions over the newly announced deal for the popular British television show The X Factor, to be introduced in the U.S. They are said to be hooking up again to work together on the U.S version.

Simon Cowell has reportedly suggested that Cheryl Cole will be greatly accepted in the U.S as she ticks all the boxes of a perfect judge. She has the beauty, emotion and most of all the crucial understanding of what it is like to be in a contestants position, due to the way that she entered the music industry on Britain’s show ‘Popstars’.
So are the U.S ready for The X Factor? Personally I think the set up is much better then the tired American Idol which has run its course. The X Factor offers more and the contestants get the chance to have the one-to-one sessions with the judges that are sometimes crucial to whether someone ‘makes it’ or not. The categories it offers also opens the door to a larger group of people then before, meaning that pre-formed groups are also able to audition.
