Aliaune Damala Bouga Time Puru Nacka Badara Akon Thiam also known as Akon rose to fame in 2004 with the release of his debut album “Trouble” which span hit singles like “Locked Up”, “Ghetto” and “Lonely”

According to Forbes magazine, the Senegalese born RnB singer grosses about 30 million dollars every year!

Akon has worked with several big artists among which include Michael Jackson, Eminem, Quincy Jones and Whitney Houston.

He has founded two record labels, Konvict Muzik and Kon Live Distribution.

Many big artists today climbed to fame through Akon. Some of these artists include Lady Gaga and T-Pain.

Akon also has a clothing line called Konvict Clothing, which was launched in February 2007. He has also recently confirmed that he plans to venture into reality television show.
