Sir Alan: Sugar Free
Its all about opportunities given and opportunities denied. Won’t you comment?
What’s so sugary in Sir Alan that gives him this name, as well the associated fame? I reckon it is his fortune which he has built over the time, with effort and dedication and, of course, the his gifted ability to cash on the passing opportunities.
Sir Alan’s success story might not be incredibly different from many others he runs the race with, but his fame success story is indisputably unique; it is through THE APPRENTICE that I came to know about him and perhaps many of you as well. Other wise he would be sitting somewhere basking the sun on his mount of wealth and me being dwarfed by the mere size of the mountain could have never seen him.
But a report in the Sunday Times gave me the hope that I would probably be able to see Sir Alan, his other fortune colleagues, or may be even meeting him. It said that billionaires are now less billionaire as value of their assets has degraded considerably due to the credit crunch.
My ‘Darling’ is also doing all out efforts to ensure that I am able to embrace him through taxing him more and more, vacuuming away the gold dust from underneath him.
But what my DARLING is failing to comprehend is that their might be and definitely are, other means of bridging the gap between the rich and the non rich (I mean Sir Alan and myself), and one of them probably might be lifting me up rather pulling him down to my level.
I fail to comprehend why societies are also geared up to see the rich and the high earners as enemies, hoarders, spend thrifts and all that. Is it the majorities amassed jealousy factor or them being less fortunate (I term Sir Alan and his like as a minority) that tends them to think so, or is it the social injustice or the media?
I am cent percent Sir Alan, and his ‘peers’, have drudged relentlessly, an essential ingredient to reach where he is today. It is a different factor that opportunities favoured them as chance always favours the prepared mind. I have witnessed a lot of people missing chances just because they were not prepared and then moaning afterwards.
And what to tell about them that were prepared and not given the opportunity? For example, I needed a loan to start a café business but I could not get it (although I have a clean credit history) but if Sir Alan went to the bank they would never refuse him.
