Take a look at these stunning Chinese celebrities.
Chinese artists and celebrities have their own share of beauty and attractiveness, no doubt! Let me share with you six breathtaking Chinese female actresses who are rocking the entertainment world today.
WARNING: Beware of their charm, as Asian beauty has been repeatedly proven to be a weakness to many…
1. Liu Yi Fei
Also known as Crystal Liu, her fresh face can be seen in the recent Chinese blockbuster production, “The Forbidden Kingdom” (which also stars Jackie Chan and Jet Li). She was born in August 25, 1987 and is full blooded chinese.
At age 10, she moved to the United States with her mother, where she got her education. In 2002, she returned to China and got accepted in the Beijing Film Academy. She graduated in 2006, and immediately after that, a surge of popularity and exposure began to dawn upon her.
2. Gong Li
Gong Li is among China’s best talents. She has a pretty face as well! Now in her 40’s, she still remains one of the most gorgeous Chinese celebrities.
In fact, just recently (2007), she was voted as the Number 1 Most Beautiful woman in China. Gong Li’s films include Miami Vice, Memoirs Of A Geisha, The Emperor and The Assassin, and Farewell, My Concubine…
3. Michelle Yeoh
When it comes to acting and achievements in Hollywood, Michelle Yeoh was perhaps one of the most succesful (if not the most succesful, unless Lucy Liu disagrees). She was best known for her leading roles in the films James Bond: Tomorrow Never Dies, and the Academy Award winning Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.
Michelle, who is Chinese-Malaysian, had various local achievements as well. She appeared in earlier films such as the Tai Chi Master, and The Heroic Trio. She had formal martial arts training and invents some of her own movie stunts! Impressive, huh?
4. Zhang Zi Yi
Zhang Zi Yi woke the entertainment industry when the film Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon was released in the early 2000’s. Aside from her impeccable prowess in martial arts, she has a captivating face that can rock you back to your ancestors.
Zi Yi became a regular display in the World’s Top 100 Prettiest Women, and was featured in magazines, commercials, and international television. Her most popular films include Memoirs Of A Geisha, House Of Flying Daggers, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, The Road Home, and Rush Hour 2.
5. Kelly Hu
Unlike the other celebrities we mentioned, Kelly Hu is only one-fourth chinese. She is a mixture of American, Hawaiian, English and Chinese (which doesn’t necessarily mean that she has four parents).
Hu starred in various hit TV shows, including Martial Law, Nash Bridges, Sunset Beach, and the all time hit, Melrose Place. Earlier, in 1993, she joined the Miss Teen USA Pageant and became part of the top 10 contestants. So in other words, she’s too hot to handle!!
6. Lucy Liu
Lucy Liu, to date, is one of the most acclaimed female Chinese star in America, possibly surpassing Zhang Zi Yi and Michelle Yeoh in fame. Lucy Liu is not much into karate flicks, but was more into American roles. She was best remembered for her TV appearance in the TV series Ally McBeal, and the Charlie’s Angels movies.
Dubbed as one of the prettiest women in the world, Lucy Liu’s career continues to soar as she appears in movies with popular actors/actresses such as Josh Hartnett and Keira Knightley. She also had leading roles in Chicago, Kill Bill, and Lucky Number Slevin. She was born December 2, 1968. Beautiful!
