Stereotyping Women Who Love Twilight (New Moon)

New Moon, The latest movie in the Twilight series is sure to be the biggest movie of the year.

We already know of all the teenage girls who will be watching this movie at least five times but who else will be watching it?
More importantly what kind of women obsess over Twilight?
I have found that the women who are over the age of seventeen and cannot wait to see the movie can be stereotyped by the following characteristics.
1) They are materialistic.
Stand in line to buy tickets for New Moon and you will swear that an Ed Hardy Store threw up right in front of the movie theater.
Ed Hardy T-shirts, jeans, hats and accessories. Of course they will finish the look with their 3oo dollar shoes and 500 dollar purse.
That way they can show just how original they are.
2) They are unoriginal
Look at the women in line and in the theater and you will notice that all the women have the same hair style, dress style and make up style.
3) They are attractive
I do have to concede though, that the women who will be watching this movie tend to be on the prettier side, which is the sole reason why you see so many guys in line to buying tickets for New Moon.
4) they are Boring
Being that they are unoriginal, this one shouldn’t come as a surprise.
This may be the reason why they all dress the same.
That way when they run into each other they have something to talk about.
for ejemplo:
“OMG, you’re freakin shirt is so sexy!”
“You think so, I bought it at Ed Hardy!”
“No way, I got this shirt from Ed Hardy!”
You might think that they would get bored sooner rather than later. Truth is, they still have jeans and shoes and purses and…You get the idea.
5) They all talk about each other behind their backs
Go to the movie and find three women standing together who fit the descriptions I have given.
It shouldn’t be hard because 99% of them fit the description.
Look for a pack of three and wait til one of them leaves.
Yeah, you know I’m right on this one!
Funny thing is, Jacob wouldn’t talk behind his Wolf Packs back.
Bella wouldn’t either.
Well maybe she would.
So would Edward I suppose since we all know that in the fifth book he comes out of the closet.
Why else would he be wearing an Ed Hardy Shirt?

What young girl doesn’t love gorgeous, sexy vampires? Some of us older girls do too, so I really anticipated watching the screen adaptation of Twilight. Unfortunately for me it didn’t live up to the hype. Its demographic was teenage girls and I admit I’m long past that stage. But because I usually find the book better than the movie I decided to read Stephenie Meyer’s best selling debut novel, “Twilight.” I guess I’m in the minority on this one. It just didn’t do it for me.
