Subpoena Served on Michael Jackson’s Nutritionist
On the subpoena that was served on Michael’s Nutritionist. The investigator’s spotlight has been placed on her, as they continue the investigations into Michael’s death.
The investigators are racing ahead with breathless speed, as they pursue those who have treated or prescribed medication to Michael Jackson over the years. His nutritionist Cherilyn Lee placed herself in the spotlight immediately after Michael’s death, by appearing in several interviews, and even admitting that Michael had asked her for Propofol also called Diprivan. This is an anesthetic administered by IV, and is formulated to be used in a hospital setting, and only under the supervision of an anesthesiologist. Consequently, it is hardly surprising that Lee has also become a focus of the investigators.
Acting on this, on Wednesday 22, 2009, (the same day that the joint investigating team raided Dr. Conrad Murray’s Houston office) a subpoena was also served on Cherilyn Lee for Michael’s medical records. The Associated Press (AP) reported that officials from the County Coroner’s office visited Lee’s office in Inglewood, and Lee is reportedly cooperating with their investigations.
Lee reportedly treated Jackson from January to April this year. In her interviews she claimed that despite Michael’s request that she assist him in obtaining Propofol, she not only refused to assist him, she discouraged him from using the drug, but also explained to him why he should not use it. Lee has apparently, joined the list of the people that the investigators have as clear targets in their investigations. On July 14th, 2009, the LA County Coroner also served a subpoena on Jackson’s long time dermatologist Arnold Klein, who too was making the rounds on the talk shows, in the weeks following Michael’s death. These interviews may very well come back to haunt them, and if charged could be used in the case against them.
There seem to be some discrepancy in Lee’s story. During her interview with Fox News, Greta Van Susteren, Lee stated that on June 21st, four days before Michael’s death she received a call from his home asking her to come over to his house, because he was hot on one side and cold on the other. She also spoke with Michael and advised him that she was in Florida, so that was not possible. If she had stopped treating him since April, why was Michael calling her? Why didn’t he call Dr. Conrad Murray, is personal physician, who it is said lived at the home? Why wasn’t he advised to go to the hospital? Something does not add up. A piece of the puzzle is definitely missing. It will be up to the investigators to fill in the blanks.
