Susan Boyle Wowing the Globe
The craze surrounding the the Scottish singing sensation Susan Boyle has everyone talking and wondering what happened that she did not win!
This 48-year-old single woman from Scotland is wowing the audiences everywhere. Ever since she appeared on American Idol and sang, “I Dream a Dream” she has become an over night sensation. More than 1 million people viewed that performance online.
She is on Britain’s Got Talent show and is optimistic that she will win. She has been rehearsing for several weeks. She had made the finals when she performed “Memory” from the musical Cats. She states that all she wants to do is sing. She is having some problems however with the attention that she has been receiving from the media.
She is staying at a hotel and trying to keep a low profile while the media will not allow her to do so. Ms. Boyle is trying to cope with all the attention and insiders have stated that her nerves are a bit frazzled and she has been in tears not understanding why the media will not leave her alone. All this woman wants to do is sing.
Susan Boyle is a simple woman who is unemployed and has never been married. She has lived in her childhood home of West Lothian, Scotland. Rumors have it that she may have some mental health problems but her brother Gerry assures everyone that it is not the case and she is just feeling the stress of it all.
The shock of her not winning is rumbling around the globe and her losing to the dance group Diversity and being a runner up. She was very gracious when she lost but soon after she was taken to The Priory Clinic in London and they are stating that it was due to exhaustion.
Ms Boyle has had a grueling time with rehearsals and dealing with the media. She is a private person and being exposed to the sudden limelight has taken its toll on her. The Prime Minister Gordon Brown has wished her well. Her doctor has advised that she take time off and rest due to her physical and emotional condition.
