1. She was born on 2 June 1987 to actor and politician Shatrughan Sinha and Poonam Sinha.

2. She has two twin brothers- Luv Sinha and Kussh Sinha, who are about to make their Bollywood debut.

3. Her mother, Poonam Sinha is a former Miss India.

4. She started her career as a model and walked the ramp at the Lakme Fashion week 2008 and Lakme Fashion week 2009.

5. She used to be overweight prior to entering the modelling industry and had to slim down considerably later.

6. She says that Salman Khan saw an actress in her, before she did. She considers Salman Khan her mentor and appears in all the events he organises.

7. She played Rajo in the movie Dabangg opposite Salman Khan. The film became one of the highest grossing Bollywood films.

8.  She won a number of awards in 2011 for Dabanng like the Star Screen Award for Most Promising Newcomer-Female, Zee Cine Award for Best Female Debut, Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut and Dadasaheb Phalke Awards for Best Debutant Actor – Female.
