The 27 Club
A list of great people who have passed at the age of 27.
I have become convinced that there is a place in the afterlife that is neither heaven, nor hell.
A special place for those who were taken from us at an early age, yet left behind such a strong impression that it forces us to question what would have been had they have lived longer.
This is a place where true legends go after they have died-at the early age of 27. This is the “27 Club” and here are some of its’ greatest members:
Robert Johnson: May 8, 1911 – August 16, 1938

Brian Jones: 28 February 1942 – 3 July 1969

Jimi Hendrix: (November 27, 1942 – September 18, 1970

Janis Joplin: January 19, 1943 – 4 October 1970

Jim Morrison: 8 December 1943 – 3 July 1971

Ron “Pigpen” McKernan: September 8, 1945 – March 8, 1973

D. Boon: April 1, 1958 – December 22, 1985

Kurt Cobain: February 20, 1967 – c. April 5, 1994

Kristen Pfaff: May 26, 1967 – June 16, 1994

Pat Tillman: November 6, 1976 – April 22, 2004

rather interesting, yet really bizarre(note:I am referring to the majority of the rock stars in the “27 club”) it’s got to be more than coincidence that they are mostly from the same generation I liked the way this was put together I give this a “Must view” critique, great work Glen, a little mourbid, but who says that’s a bad thing?

I love it when people glorify death. It’s so goth.

On #11, above:
It is not their deaths that are being glorified, on the contrary: it was their lives that are being glorified.

New person should be added to this list. Dash Snow died a few days ago. Great artist.

Please don’t forget one of the most promising young actors
of the late 1960s-early 1970s: Barry Brown, April 19, 1951-June 25, 1978. R.I.P. Barry; you were one of the greats…

Michael Steven Rachubinski- January 7,1959-February 12, 1986
My beautiful boy, he was loved by everyone who knew him. After 24 years he is still missed so much.
Is there a 27 Club for non-celebrities? I’d like him to be in it.
27 is way too young for anyone to die.
