Aishwarya Rai, who won the Miss. World title for 1994, is popular all over the world for her beauty. She started her career as a model and gained fame through out the world after winning the title of the beauty queen. She was born in Mangalore to Krishnaraj Rai, a marine biologist and Mrs. Vrinda Rai, a writer. Her elder brother, Mr. Aditya Rai is an engineer with merchant navy and also helped in the co-production of some of her movies. Her ambition in life was to become an architect but after winning the Miss. World title, she abandoned her studies and started working as a professional and then moved to bollywood and became famous as an actress.
Now, she is happily married to the famous bollywood actor Mr. Abhishek Bachchan, the son of the evergreen personality Mr. Amitabh Bachchan and the ruling acress of Hollywood of 1980s Mrs. Jaya Bachchan. Now, Aishwarya Rai prefers to be known by her new identity, Mrs. Aishwarys Rai Bachchan. Mrs. Bachchan is very much popular for her attractive blue eyes and also known as the blue-eyed actress.
Aishwarya Rai is the first Indian actress who was nominated as a judge in the cannes festival. Till now, some of her most popular movies in Hindi are Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Taal, Bride and Prejudice, Guru, Jodha Akbar and the long list of movies in other languages such as English, Tamil and Marathi follows after.
