The New Doctor Who Companion: She’s an Alien
Or even better, a catgirl!
The New Doctor Who Companion: She’s an Alien!
Reading with my love of Doctor Who burning with the red hot intensity of a thousand suns, I took to noticing an odd occurrence in the image presented to me on the cover of “Doctor Who Magazine Issue 410” with it exclaiming “Who is Karen Gillan?” with the image of the Eleventh Doctor’s companion right on the cover. A great start, all well and good for fans to know a year or maybe more before the new series begins of who shall stand by the Doctor’s side throughout time……but that isn’t what I’m aiming to examine within this article. What I am examining is an interesting thing I’ve notice about the image they used of her on the cover. The eyes strike me as an oddity or better to say “Excitement” on how it could be hinting towards another Alien companion (I count the ones in the comics with the Eighth and Tenth with my view of canon having a more open minded view to the different medians of Doctor Who).
So let me explain why I’m assuming she’s alien in nature, if you take a gander at her eyes you can see they present a cat like quality to them. I’m not sure if this is to do with the lighting they used or a general flaw with the image, but it strikes me that if this were a mistake they would’ve picked up on it when they were choosing the image or at least fixed the image to clear it up. Though I don’t care since this could be what they want to happen with assumption overrunning fans before they’ve even filmed anything….Catgirl on Doctor Who…..it’s like a weird Fan-Fiction writer or anime fan dream come true, no ears though, shame! *Sad face*. Who’s a Catgirl? Karen Gillan might be!
The series just keeps getting better each year with little presents. With the first true present being the Christmas special with the Cybermen mecha crushing London (Odd that it didn’t seem to have much effect on history) and now we have the potential of a Catgirl for a series or two; Doctor Who anime time people! DANCEBREAK!
Thank you! Thank you! Steven Moffat for this gift of gifts….if this does turn out to be true, which seems so likely at how this little Cat eye thing seems to be present for another image used for the interview promised on the cover….and guess what? It’s a different picture.
Thought of the Day: July 20th:
Enjoying a bit of peace and quiet and I’m finally on track to writing something with a sort of twist within a twist sort of thing….nothing better to throw a twist into the ordered chaos I throw together.
