The Untimely Death of Michael Jackson
Who’s fault is it the Dr. who prescribed the medication that everyday creates many addicts, or the person who followed their Dr. instruction ultimately bringing them to their fate?

Michael Jackson was an addict, like many people, famous or not. It is because of these “great doctors”, whom we trust with our lives and the lives of our loved ones that we owe these addictions.
Though ultimatly it was Jacksons choice to take the pain medication it was the choice of the Drr. to wrongly administer it. It was also the responsibility of the Dr. to realize that Jackson had become an addict and he should gave taken the necessary steps to treat him as such.
I stress the fact that greed was a major factor in this case. And I ask Dr. around the world, is that vacation home, boat, new car, and fancy restaurant worth another human life? Apparently so.
It is easy for a Dr. to prescribe you something to make you feel better, for now, but they also know that many times that pill will lead to another, and another, and another. Being a friend of an addict i see how this happens. It seems to me that the addict becomes brain washed into thinking they “need” this pill or that pill in order to function properly. Lets not forget that many times you are prescribed yet another pill as a result of some side effect from the first pill you were prescribed.

The “carelessness” involved was the Dr.s alone. Ask Michael’s children if their father was careless and they may tell you in some aspects he was (hanging his child from a balcony sums up that topic). But if you ask them if the Dr. was careless when administering a dose that was sure to take away their father, (which brings more opportunity for them to become depressed, prescribed drugs to feel better, then possibly overdosing on them as well) I think we all know the answer to that one. Of course he was careless.
“Addiction to perscription drugs is ten times the problem of illegal drugs, is far more gripping and debilitating than heroin or cocaine”. The cost for our society is in the billions.
Lets not forget that his death was senseless and he is a legend who should be remember as just that. But any death by the hands of a professional who is in charge of his patients care and well being is negative and should also be remembered as such. What would happen if every doctor who’s patients asked for more of their pain killer gave it to him. Well that would be one sure fire way of population control
