TI: Road to Redemption

Clifford Harris also known as a famous rapper by the name of T.I. was convicted on three felony charges for illegal weapon purchases. He made a plea with the courts and was granted 1,000 hours of community service with one year and one day of prison time. Now my thoughts from the beginning were that I never liked T.I. at all due to the fact that I thought that he was very cocky and arrogant. So these charges seemed to be something that he really deserved. But due to his star status, he used it to change at risk youth lives. So he teamed up with MTV and made a reality series on how he came into a few youth  lives at risk for anything from gang life to drug dealing and showed them where they would end up if they continued on with their lifestyle. So not only was he informing them on the seriousness of it all, he was also reminding himself about how serious it all was too. After watching the show I started to realize that T.I. was very sorry for what he did and was really trying to make a change. He wasn’t trying to pull a publicity stunt to keep his fame but he was actually trying to make a change. I started to respect him as a person and as a rapper more after i seen the show. We all make mistakes and to get caught isn’t unfortunate yet a blessing to change and start over. And I think that if anyone cant forgive him and see that he is changing and doing good for the better than you better hope you never mess up and wish for somebodies forgiveness.
