This is Valery again and maybe you didn't include him on the list because of his eccentrities, which is not fair. Dispute his personal life, he deserves to be on this list. You even stated you wouldn't include him anyways....*sigh*

Bottom line no matter your life, I respect ALL people who have worked hard for this world.

Of course Michael Jackson deserves to be on the list. He dedicated his entire life to helping people and saving lives. He used his fame to help people live, he donated the money from his concerts to charity organizations, he even went through hell but never stopped caring and loving people. That's what he's born to do. And of course, the media didn't show us this side of him. But that's exactly what he is - LOVE in human form. And you have no idea how many people's lives he's changed and saved. I'm tired of explaining this to people and i don't know why i still do it when everyone is drowning in their hate and prejudice.... Just... the next time check your information before you talk about someone you don't know at all.

I'm late here I see that, but I just want to say this (I do respect your list by the way)...
Michael made a bigger impact on the world than a lot of people know. There is a lot of his charity work that is not documented because he didn't like taking credit for it. He didn't do charity and flash it about like people do now. He did it quietly because he loved to help others.
To Nat and William - grow up.
Michael didn't simply have children at Neverland, he brought families and other celebrity friends out there to stay with him. I'm so sick of ignorant comments about what people THINK they know about MJ...

Lauren I came across your article and I was very curious to see who made the list so I went threw the entire list and was surprised to see some names, I was expecting to see several names as well like Michael Jackson, I know this was done in 2008, so My question what would make you not put Michael on this list? I know that he has had some trying times but who hasten? I know that there was a lot of controversy sounding him and although he is gone always will be, but My question is did u actually do research? And put the media aside and all the negitvenss souring him as side did u actually do research. But I think you would feel rather dumb for saying yes he had impact but everyone is better, I’m not quoting but just keeping it simple. See because I think that had u done actual research you would have know that more than half of what he made threw out his life was given to charity and ppl in need. You would have known that he was responsible for saving many lives in fact u can find a few on you tube. You would know that he has plans to build a children’s hospital that focus on cancer and burn victims. You would know that in death he left 20% of his estate to charity and not just one or 2 but around 200 pulse charities. How can you say he did have a relationship with the poor did you forget he was very poor growing up, how ppl hate on someone who worked night and day to be able to have the things he didn’t have as a child? Dose that mean ppl who have more than one car or pair of expensive shoes are selfish or self indulgent? Michael was cut off from a world like us because of his star not by choice.
You would know that unlike Angelina he used his celebrity to accomplish many things. Take 911 did a benefit song and donated 100% to fire Fighters and police men. And the list goes on and on. Michael May have had his problems but that never stopped him form helping someone or doing some sort of good, good that will keep giving for years and years to come. I find it sad that people are so bias against a man who helped more in life and in death than anyone who has negative comments to say. And BTW Michael had several charities here in La that benefit the homeless. He didn’t just got to far away countries he stayed in places like Ca too he was world wide, but I’m sure u knew all that and im sure u knew he said he did not to be noticed or for fame but because it was his calling. But I’m sure many of u knew that. So now that its 2010 would he have made ur list now?

I am not bashing you these are just simple questions, I respect everyone u put on the list..

I agree with William. Satisfaction of sick fantazing involving innnocent, naive children was his impetus to be charitable
