Top Five Richest Indians
Indian economy is growing and more Indian companies are emerging into the international market. Now India has the most billionaires in Asia and hosts four of the top 10 richest billionaires in the world. I am proud to present the top five richest Indian billionaires in the world and leaders in the corporate world.
Lakshmi Mittal – $45 Billion, Steel Industry

Nicknamed the “Taj Mittal” and born in a poor family in Rajasthan, India – Mr. Mittal and his father’s joint venture into the steel business has made them the richest family in Asia and currently the richest resident of Europe. He is ranked as the 4th richest man in the world. Currently, Lakshmi Mittal is the head of ArcelorMittal with a 44% stake in the company. His company, ArcelorMittal, accounts for 10% of all steel production in the world and is now involved in the construction of the World Trade Center Memorial site in New York City. His house in Kensington Palance Gardens in London was bought by him for 128 Million US Dollars and build with marble from the quarry used to build the Taj Mahal – thus his nickname. He is known for widely flaunting his wealth and his inherited fortune is growing rapidly with takeovers of many foreign firms.
Mukesh Ambani – $43 Billion, Petrochemicals

Born in Yemen but a natural born citizen of India and currently residing in Bombay, India – Mukesh is the world’s 5th richest man and the controlling stake holder of his family company – Reliance Industries. His personal stake of 48% in his company has turned out to be very profitable, earning him 22.9 billion dollars within a year. His brother Anil Ambani is the 6th richest man in the world. The brothers inherited their fortunes when their father, Dhirubhai Ambani, passed away. After the brothers could not settle their differences over how the family company should proceed and after a family feud, their mother split the family assets and company between the two brothers. Mukesh also owns the Indian Premier League team, the Mumbai Indians.
Anil Ambani – $42 Billion, Various Industries

Nicknamed as “Big” to mock his elder brother Mukesh Ambani, Anil is in a bitter dispute with his elder brother and in a race to outdo him in wealth and corporate success. He is ranked the 6th richest person in the world and the fastest growing wealth as his fortunes tripled within 1 year (his brothers only doubled in 1 year). After inheriting the business and family assets after his father’s death (Dhirubhai Ambani), Anil is making a name for himself in a variety of projects including Reliance Communications, in which he has a 65% stake and is currently one of the largest phone companies in India. Reliance Power is also another project aimed at controlling the utility business in India in direct opposition to his brother. His other group companies include Reliance Capital, Reliance Natural Resources Ltd and Reliance Energy. He is also looking to buy the English football team Everton FC.

Interesting article that has been well-researched and presented to us. Personally, I am glad to see that there are so many billionaires around the world, because it goes to show that if you work hard, then you can achieve this self-worth. These people all dare to do what had to be done with immense dedication and willingness to take big risks in uncharted territory that others would coward away from, because the risks were too big.
God Bless,
Nelson Doyle

I don’t know why you all so proud about richest people but there will be a time there is no more land to do landfill or a fertile land to grow crops…you all need to measure how much these guys are making at the expense using your natural resources that belong to everyone..not just human beings..everyone!! Next time don’t be so proud about it!!
