Tragedy Strikes Real Housewives of Atlanta
An Atlanta Housewife’s fiancé was killed after brawl at a local gentleman’s club.
Award-winning recording artist turned television sensation, Kandi Burruss, has suffered a tragedy. The newest addition to “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” hit reality show suffered the tragic death of her fiancée, Ashley “A.J.” Jewell.
Jewell, who often appeared on the show, was involved in an altercation in the parking lot of one of Atlanta’s Black adult gentlemen’s clubs.
Nelson, who represented Burruss during the taping of the show, said the family is asking for privacy during this very difficult time.
Atlanta police disclosed to the media that Jewell suffered a severe head injury during a fight in the parking lot of the club located in the 1200 block of Marietta Boulevard in Atlanta, Georgia.
Some time after being taken to Piedmont Hospital, Jewell later died as a result of his extensive injuries.
Although Police have not been able to determined a motive for the fight, Body Tap is know for attracting A-list clientele, athletes, artists, and businessmen men alike for its weekend activities, such as Fantasy Fridays. Although unlikely, robbery has apparently not been ruled out as a motive. Police would only say that the have a person of interest in the case.
Jewell is the father of several young children, which on the show was a point of contention between himself and the mother of Burruss, former member of the defunct R&B group Xscape.
Owners of the Body Tap nightclub were not available for comment.
