Vanessa George How Could She Abuse Those Children?

I never thought I would see the day when women think it’s okay to use children for sexually gratification.

Vanessa George was obsessed with Colin Blanchard and they are both paedophiles.

Vanessa George was a married woman with two teenage daughters. The most worrying distressing thing is that she was also a nursery teacher at the Little Ted’s nursery In Plymouth England.

She was said to have been lured into online conversation by Colin Blanchard who lives 230 miles from her in Greater Manchester. They were using the social networking website Facebook and met on an application called ‘Are you interested?’

Vanessa began recording abuse of the children she was trusted to care for, on her mobile phone, which she later then emailed to Colin. She would send him up to eight sickening images a week and often would sign them  ‘your paedo whore mum.’

She was obsessed with Colin and over a thousand interactions between the pair were logged via mobile phone and Internet. They communicated their disgusting desires, with pictures and talk of rape. They also said they loved each other.

Vanessa was known as a good worker who had great rapport with the children in the three years she had worked there.

It was also discovered that she had had 15 encounters with other men online and had met up and had sex with a car mechanic in return for a free MOT. She set up to meet for the first time with Colin but he never showed up, so she spent the night with another man.

Her poor husband and family knew nothing of her sordid online life, she would be on the computer checking the news as far as he was concerned.

The families of the children that go to Little Ted’s nursery are still not sure which of their children have been abused, Vanessa chose the children at random but stated that the younger ones were easier to photograph, some were as young as 12 months old.

These poor children were subjected to humiliating physical abuse.

Is it going to come to the point now that you must have two nursery teacher/assistants together at all times to stop this ever happening again? This is not the first time someone entrusted with the care and wellbeing of young children has been caught abusing that trust.

Vanessa was yesterday on the 15th December 2009 sentenced to 7 years imprisonment but will not be released until she can prove she is no longer a threat to society, which could mean she is in for life.

The sentencing for Colin still goes on.

Beverly Allitt was a state enrolled nurse (SEN) and worked in the children’s ward at the Lincolnshire, Kesteven hospital England. She murdered four children and injured five others. Allitt nick named the ‘Angel of Death’ is serving life in Rampton Secure Hospital England.

All staff working with children have to undergo a CRB and police file check but dangerous people are still getting through. Long gone are the days when you think, ‘its okay, she is a woman,’ our children will be safe. We all need to be more vigilant and protect each other and those we care for.
