Vanessa Hudgens Scandal

An article outlining the recent scandal, from the High School Musical Star.

According to the National Enquirer, a new set of nude pictures of the female star Vanessa Hudgens have leaked on the internet. The star of Disneys ‘High School Musical’ series of films, apparently took the pictures for he co-star turned boyfriend Zac Efron, allegedly using a camera phone.

As if Hudgens did not learn her lesson in 2007, when an incident of the same nature occurred, but with only a single photograph. This time it appears to be a whole set. A source claims that she took the pictures to stop Zac from getting bored of her, sort of to spice things up between them.

The pictures have been confirmed as being legitimate, and the star has apologised for the situation, Disney is apparently sticking by her throughout her ordeal. A source said that ‘…Only 18, so she had no idea how her flirtatious act could threaten the future of the multi-million dollar plans Disney has for the show.’

Let’s consider this for a second, a show aimed at children and teenagers, made up of a bunch of good looking people who are sending the message that life is full of exciting opportunities. One of these teen idols decides to take naked pictures of themselves, and it leaks on the internet. Nobody is saying that it is her fault that these ended up where they did, but the repercussions cannot be ignored.  Is this not telling our teens that life is full of exciting opportunity, and that it is okay to take your clothes off in pictures?

The High School Musical star really has put the whole shows future in jeopardy. It will be interesting to see whether Disney still stand by her if it becomes apparent that it will lose even the slightest money. From what has gone before Disney has never been the type for putting its employees before its money.

What is next? Zac Efron getting naked in leaked pictures? That really would be the icing on the cake which puts High School Musical away for good, if this current situation has not already caused irreparable damage.
