Recently the hot advertisement all over internet and the spicy talk among all Marilyn Monroe’s fans was about the sale auction in the site eBay. Are you eager to know what that action was? It was the sale of the crypt in Los Angeles, which is just above the grave of Hollywood legend Marilyn Monroe who died 47 years ago. The auction was a great success with a deal of 4.6 Million dollars, which got finalized within a week after the advertisement, was made.

Richard Poncher, an entrepreneur, was a mad fan of Marilyn. He bought this crypt from Joe Di Maggio who was the ex-husband of Marilyn Monroe. He told his wife Elise Poncher that he should be buried upside down (facing down) in this crypt after his death, so that he can see Marilyn at all times from his grave. He also threatened his wife that he would come as a ghost if she didn’t keep the promise. Later when he died 23 years ago at his age of 81, his wife fulfilled his wish.

But recently, the widower Elisa Poncher got into debts and has nearly 1.6 Million dollars debts to close. Hence she decided to sell the crypt, displacing her husband to a newer place. So, she placed an advertisement using eBay, which stated the auction as “A once in a life time opportunity to spend your eternal days directly above Marilyn Monroe”.

The new auction winner whose identity is not revealed yet will have a bonus honor of getting buried next to playboy founder Hugh Hefner, who bought the adjacent tomb. The other popular celebrities who will spend time during those eternal days are actresses Natalie Wood & Donna Reed, film makers Darryl F Zanuck & Billy Wilder, Writers Truman Capote & Sidney Sheldon, musicians Buddy Rich & Frank Zappa.

They will have a nice celebration, even after death. Marilyn Monroe’s name and fame will exist in this world, until there live admirers who are ready even to buy a burial place next to her. Amen!
