What are You Going to Do for Random Acts of Kindness Week?
Random Acts of Kindness Week is right around the corner and takes place February 13 – 19.
What random acts of kindness do you plan on doing during this week in February?
I try to do random acts of kindness throughout the year because its something I enjoy doing. I thought I would share a few of the things I have done in the past. I particularly enjoy doing anonymous random acts of kindness.
Perhaps these will get your own creative juices flowing to come up with even better ideas.
Please feel free to share your ideas.
* Purchase a grocery gift card and leave it for a neighbor who you know might be struggling to put food on the table in this tight economic times.
* Pay for the persons groceries who is standing behind you in the check-out line without them knowing.
* Make a meal for your local fire department and deliver it to them.
* Bake some of your best baked goods and deliver them to your local police department.
* Give your spare laptop or desk top computer to an elerdly person who you know is home-bound.
* Pay for someones tanl of gasoline anonymously.
* Put a volleyball or badmitton net up in your front yard and get the neighborhood kids together.
* Stop into a nursing home in the area to visit, to read to someone, to write a letter, or to take someone outdoors for fresh air.
* Share some of your fruit from your citrus tree. Put the extra in a wheel barrow with sacks attached to put them in. Place a sign on it for people to help themselves to the oranges, grapefurits or other fruit you have available.
* Cook extra when preparing dinner and deliver it to a neighbor.
* Send a card to someone who you haven’t spoke to or seen in a while to let them know they are still important to you.

Some of those could get really expensive. Truth is I do small gifts once in a while if I can afford them. Thanks for some good writing.

those are all really good ideas. It’s always good to help others at all times of the year.

You wouldn’t be doing these all at one time Dragoonk. And it just so happens that helping others a lot of times does take a bit of money. I mean – really – put away a $20 a month and in 2 months you could fill someones gas tank.
